Seasonal color that arrives in spring and beauty that returns for years — from the first pansies of March to more than 1,500 perennial varieties grown right here in Cheshire.
Annuals are outdoor plants that grow for a single season, and ours begin filling the greenhouses in March with the year’s first pansies and violas. By May the benches overflow with locally grown blooming and non-blooming annuals for garden beds, window boxes, and containers — impatiens, petunias, geraniums, begonias, and many more, refreshed weekly so the selection stays healthy and full.
Come autumn, the chrysanthemum takes over. We grow our own mums from tiny cuttings into 8–12 inch mounds of fall color — as much a sign of the season here as the changing leaves.
Perennials add beauty to your garden for years. We grow more than 1,500 varieties in Cheshire, including Connecticut’s best selection of daylilies and hostas. Our perennials are organized alphabetically by sun and shade tolerance, and our perennial experts are glad to help you plan for full-season color and draw butterflies and hummingbirds to your garden.
